BFP urges the public to always take extra precautions to prevent fire.

Fire incidents in the Philippines rose by 8% in the first two months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). As of February 28, 2026, 2,699 incidents were reported, mostly in residential areas. (Source: Philippine Information Agency)
